DYE-SUBLIMATION FABRIC PRINTING
EXPOSE YOUR BRAND TO THE NEXT LEVEL!
|
Dye Sublimation Fabric Printing is the process of transferring ink to 100% polyester fabric. The process requires three factors to be successful, time, temperature and pressure. If one of these three is not correct, the results will suffer. Sublimation takes place when you place the printed carrier sheet with a piece of fabric. This combination is placed in a heat press at 400°F with a pressure setting of approximately 50psi. Depending on the fabric, the dwell time may vary from 30 to 60 seconds. While the fabric is under the combination of heat and pressure, a molecular change occurs. The ink converts from a solid to a gas (sublimation) and the fiber of the fabric opens. When the fiber opens, the gas enters the fiber, as soon as it leaves the heat and begins to cool the fiber closes and the ink becomes encapsulated. What remains is a photographic-quality image that is locked inside of the fabrics fiber and protected, in fact bleach, dry cleaning or simply putting it in the laundry will not harm your image.
Result = Your project in a High Definition (HD) print that is less vunerable to fading and distortion over time and is 100% recyclable!
